A lovely range of yarns made with a blend of Hebridean, Shetland, Black Welsh Mountain, Manx and Ryeland fleeces in varying proportions to produce a range of lovely natural shades.
All sourced directly from farmers in Cumbria and Scotland, with the Shetland wool coming from the Shetland Isles. They work beautifully together and will make super cloth for clothing, blankets and cushions.
This range of 4 natural shades has been doubled with a light Z twist making it very suitable for knitters who prefer a plied yarn. It is also very suitable for weaving on the Rigid Heddle loom in a 12/12.5 dent heddle without the need to double up threads or use 2 heddles.
Spun in a S twist, Yorkshire Skein Weight, and doubled with a light Z twist in West Yorkshire.
100% traceable provenance - all of the wool is sourced from farms in the Yorkshire Dales, Cumbria and Scotland.
Laura suggests wet finishing this yarn on a 40 degree wool wash using an eco friendly detergent with the caveat that you should always sample first!
