Laura's Loom Cumbrian Tweed - Bracken

Spun from 80% Blue Faced Leicester and 20% Hebridean Fleeces collected by Laura from small farms in the Yorkshire Dales and Cumbria. Available in 8 beautiful colours as well as Natural Undyed Silver Grey which is perfect for using just as it is, with other naturals or coloured yarn and of course it can be dyed. Mixing the fine lustrous softness of BFL with the more hard-wearing mountain wool of Hebridean sheep produces a yarn with both strength and flexibility. It works well for both clothing fabrics and fine woollen throws. 100% traceable provenance - this wool is sourced from farms in the Yorkshire Dales and Cumbria, spun in East Yorkshire and dyed in the Scottish Borders. Z twist singles, 1/14 Yorkshire Skein Weight, 7.2/1 metric equivalent. Standard put up is 100g cones but larger quantities can be supplied subject to availability. Please contact us for details and lead times.
